Description
An F-15E Strike Eagle sits on the flightline during sunset Dec. 6, 2010, at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. With a digital electronic engine control system, F-15E pilots can accelerate from idle power to maximum afterburner in less than four seconds. Faster engine acceleration means quicker takeoffs and crisper response while maneuvering. The F-15E is assigned to the 391st Fighter Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Debbie Lockhart)
