Lake Michigan is incredibly clean in most places. Some summer days, you'd think you were in the Caribbean. This is largely due to the invasive zebra mussels that have taken over the Great Lakes. I created this image to show the beautiful crystal clear blue green water, even when there are waves on the lake. Waves you say? I don't see any waves... This is due to a very long exposure that has smoothed out the water and also softened the clouds. The rocks are part of the North Breakwater of Ludington's Pere Marquette harbor and lighthouse.
