Good news! Fine Art Metal Prints are now available for order direct from this site! This amazing product is created by infusing dyes into a polymer coating that is heat transferred onto a 1/16th inch thick aluminum sheet. This process makes the print durable, scratch resistant, and water proof, with an archival value of well over 100 years. In addition to the long lasting print, this process and material really makes images pop. The colors are extraordinarily vibrant and the depth of the coating gives photos a luminous quality that no paper print can achieve.

In other news, I’ve also added seven new frame options for custom framed fine art prints. These include economy metal frames in Black, Gunmetal, Frosted Silver, and White, as well as wood frames in Black, Black Walnut, Canadian Walnut, American Maple, and White. I will also soon add premium handcrafted environmentally friendly bamboo frames as an option.
It’s finally here! Today I’m announcing the official re-opening of my specialty print shop. All of my images are now available for immediate customization and print ordering, direct from this site. The new order system allows you to choose various print configurations including standard prints, framed prints, and canvas prints. Further, you can choose custom mats and frames, for a completely finished, ready-to-hang art piece. I’m still working on adding a larger variety of frame and mat options, and plan on offering acrylic and metal prints in the near future. Check out some of the examples below, or find your own favorites!

Well, it looks like I’m officially dumping Fotomoto as my print provider for images hosted on this site. They are just not living up to the standards that I expect, and just doubled their costs, which I can’t in good conscience pass on to my customers. This change is good for everyone (except me since I have to now reprogram my site!), as I plan on using my fine art print provider, Fine Art America to offer prints for the rest of the images on this site. It will take me a little while to write the back-end code, in the mean time if there is an image that you would like to purchase a print of, please contact me. I will get the image uploaded to my portfolio site, and email you a direct link for purchase. What’s even better? The print prices will now be lower, and products include prints on paper, canvas, acrylic, and metal, with a variety of framing options. Stay tuned for more updates!
Speaking of fine art prints – my Fall 2012 promotion is on! Head over to my portfolio site and use coupon code JUGAEK for 30% off until the end of November!
It’s spring time… the perfect time to launch some major site changes! This week I Blogified my news, installing WordPress on the back end, and migrating all of my news over to this format for better reading, managing, and archiving. I also plan on using it for more of a blogging platform, so I can post articles, tutorials, and other useful information that’s not site specific.
I also completely overhauled my printing back-end. I’m still using Fotomoto to handle my shopping cart, printing, and shipping for photos on this site, but am now using their handy API’s for managing images. This is transparent to all of you, but allows for much more control for me. I also have greeting card and postcard options available right from the image page, rather than having to dig through options. Try it out here:

Lastly, I’ve uploaded a handful of new images to my FineArtAmerica managed site, some examples below:

Added a cool new feature to my photo pages! You can now see in the sidebar a bunch of related images, based on the current image tags.

I’ve decided to give up the sub-domain that I’ve had running for many years now in favor of a more google friendly domain. So, 3scape Photos is officially live on 3scape.com. At some point in the future, the old sub-domain will be retired. I’ll keep it live for a little while until most of my traffic migrates to the new site, but the content will be mirrored on both sites. Please update your bookmarks!
Although big doesn’t mean obvious! I’ve done some work on the site recently to make browsing easier. The Photo of the Day page is now navigable, so you can see previous POTD’s all the way back to 2007.
I’ve also just partnered with Fotomoto.com to handle my print ordering/processing/shipping. Now ordering high quality fine art prints is easier than ever! Just click on the “Buy Print” link above an image, and you’ll have great art on your wall in no time.
Finally, I’m also now offering greeting cards and postcards, also via Fotomoto. As always, eCards are still Free! So go to the gallery and start buying.
As an added incentive… any purchases made from now until March 1, 2010 will help victims of the Haiti earthquake! I’ll be donating 50% of proceeds to the American Red Cross.
I know it’s been many months since I’ve last had a news update. This time I have a good excuse, however… I’ve been preparing for a baby that’s now overdue. Pictures of my preparations are online as proof (thumbs below).
News for today, though, is that I finally have added some real text and a picture to my bio page. Now you can learn a little about the man behind the camera. If you don’t care about any of that, I also uploaded some pictures from recent trips to BVI, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Stay tuned, new photos from other trips will be added shortly!
I’ve added a price calculator for Rights Managed image licensing, to make it easier for buyers to determine costs. Try out my new calculator by clicking the image below.

Well, after about a week, countless lines of code, and a case of Mt. Dew, my new and improved site is open for your viewing pleasure! I try to keep things fresh, and this time around I changed the color scheme and did a lot of back-end re-coding to make the site look better and run smoother. Please feel free to send me a note if you have any comments or suggestions. Enjoy!
